Who we are

The Union of Craftsmen and Small Industries – Confartigianato di Belluno has worked alongside artisans and small enterprises since 1955 and is the best representative Association operating in the province. Its objectives are:

  • To be a collective expression of values and interests

  • Represent businesses and different fields

  • Encourage competition in the market

  • Stimulate the economic development and craft technology of Belluno and small enterprise

  • Promote associations and collaborative support between businesses

  • Participate in the planning of economic projects for the province

At the provincial headquarters in Belluno and at the offices in Agordo, Caprile, Feltre, Pieve di Cadore, S. Stefano di Cadore, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Pieve d'Alpago, the Association offers assistance, consultation and services to their business associates.

With representatives present in Commissione provinciale per l'Artigianato (the provincial Commission for craftsmanship), on the statuary body of the Chamber of Commerce for Belluno and of Inps, not to mention numerous committees, commissions, governing bodies of societies and agencies on a regional and provincial level.

The Union is a free impartial political trade union organisation, on a non-profit basis. The activity is organised into "group councils" and "communal craftsmanship".

Since 2002, the Union – the first association of its field in the province to embrace this choice –has made use of an Ethical Code. Eleven groups – those which have the most direct contact with the private sector - have adopted a code of ethics for artisan craft activities, approved also by the Consumer Associations Adiconsum, Adoc and Federconsumatori.

Over the years, the Union of Artisans and Small Business has given life to numerous associated systems: Finimpresa cooperative society, Feinar, Centro Consorzi, Consorzio Artigiano Tutela Ambiente, Dimensione Impresa s.r.l., Caaf-Confartigianato and syndicates for production zones, all of which provide solutions for business enterprises. These organisations have been created to offer services adapted for the businesses and all together constitute the Associative Syndicate.
